What to Expect
New Beginnings Center of Hope
Facing an unplanned pregnancy can feel overwhelming. Fear, isolation, and frustration are no doubt some of the feelings you are probably experiencing at this time.
If you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant, you don’t have to face this alone. When you come to our Center you will be greeted by your C.A.R.E. Consultant she will welcome you and your pregnancy partner (if applicable) to our Center, give you a short tour, ask you to complete our consents and intake forms and take a copy of your ID. If you brought your pregnancy partner with you, she and one of our male C.A.R.E. consultants will meet with you both individually to discuss accurate information regarding all your pregnancy options and answer your questions.
After the initial options discussion, she will ask you to perform a self-administered self read urine pregnancy test. If your urine pregnancy test is positive she will offer you a free ultrasound for pregnancy verification at the medical office onsite so that you can receive more essential information that you will need to make as fully informed pregnancy decision.
My Choice Pregnancy Services
If you would like an ultrasound or need to have one before making a decision, your CARE consultant will escort you to the medical and nursing professionals of the onsite medical office My Choice Pregnancy Services.
They will obtain your consent for medical services, review your health history and take your vital signs. The purpose of a limited ultrasound scan is to determine if your pregnancy is occurring in your uterus, if there is a heartbeat for your pre-born child, and to determine how far along you are. After they perform the scan they will answer any medical questions you may have regarding STDs, your pregnancy symptoms, fetal development, and your options.
After you completed your visit at the medical office, you will be escorted back to New Beginnings Center of Hope. Your C.A.R.E. consultant will then help you review your options and offer you the option of a follow-up appointment for long-term pregnancy decision support.
New Beginnings Center of Hope is a non-profit organization working with onsite medical and nursing professionals of My Choice Pregnancy services to provide you with a safe non-judgemental, confidential environment where you can make one of the most important decisions of your life.
